Invitational track meet

Andrew and Abby did such a great job in track!
They worked so hard and both accomplished more than they ever thought they could!!

Check them out:

(Their biggest fan.  Ok one of their biggest fans.)

A former track runner myself, I had a blast watching them go!!  I could do this every year!

Charlotte and Jennifer

All smiles.

And bubbles.

And looks that will win you over.

And big grins!

Charlotte loves Jennifer!

moms day

While I enjoyed my last few snuggly moments in bed, I heard a bit of rustling down in the kitchen.  Daniel was with me, so I knew someone else was up to something!  Abby and Eliza made me this adorable little breakfast--all ready for me when I came down to eat!  The tortilla has butter and cinnamon and was warmed up.  I had recently taught the kids of this little after-school snack I used to make.

So sweet!

Besides this, of course I was treated to many homemade gifts and cards from my chillin's.
I just love each one.

My mother's day present from Daniel was a fixed up ring that belonged to my Grandma Koski.  It's a big, tall, jeweled thing--something like 14 small rubies and 4 tiny diamonds.  It's been missing a ruby (broken prong) and a bit too big for my hand.  We took it to the jeweler and got the prong fixed, ruby replaced, sized it down, and got it all cleaned and shined.  WOW!!  It's like it's brand new!!  I love it!!

Mother's day was an absolutely gorgeous day--we had a great day playing outside together!

Daddies, babies, and lost teeth

These were taken several weeks ago...but thought I'd better get them up anyway!

Daddy and daughter are chillin'.

And sleepin'.

Oh, Eliza.  She had a very loose tooth and an extremely loose tooth.  Combine that with some roughhousing with her brother on the trampoline, and voila!!

She came running in the house bleeding and screaming, her brother a bit stressed out himself!  After we rinsed and spit a few times, both teeth were actually still in tact.  I took this opportunity to get rid of them since a few nights prior we had a lot of DRAMA over wanting to pull them out but being too afraid.

I touched the extremely loose tooth with the tissue and it fell into my hand.  She couldn't tell I had done a thing.  Then the very loose tooth came out with the slightest of tugs.

YES!

No more loose tooth drama!

And today she lost a THIRD on the top!!

She's sideways, but just as darling.

Charlotte's blessing day

Charlotte Belle was blessed by her dad May 6th.  John and Debra came from Oregon and Charlotte and Bryan Weight came from Illinois!
Here's the whole lot of us.

Proud parents. :)

Little girl in white fluff.
My friend, Hillary, gave me this awesome blanket at a baby shower.
It's fluffy inside was great for blessing-day whites.

Charlotte and Charlotte!  When Daniel and I were considering this name, I liked it even better because the Charlotte I knew growing up was such a cool lady!  She reminds me a lot of my Mom. :)

Charlotte Belle is wearing the dress Abby wore for her blessing.  She is also adorned with Eliza's little baby bracelet.  We bought shoes just for her to have her own special article of clothing, but she was too good at kicking them off!  And they were darling!  At least she got some new ruffly socks. :)

Grandma Stewart and the girls at the dinner table.

We are so blessed to have little Charlotte in our family.  It was a wonderful day!

compare and contrast

Well, if I had more time on my hands I would scan pix of Abby in here, but you just get Charlotte and Eliza! Think they look like sisters!?

(Answers are in the comments section.)

It's a little freaky if you ask me.

We've been up to...

Being cute

Running fast
(Andrew is the guy on the left with the black gloves!)

A and A joined the Germantown Track and Field club this spring.  They have never been so thrilled with a sport--haven't complained about practice ever!  They both feel strong and successful.  And they work so hard--they never knew they could do so much!  This was their intersquad meet.  They ran a 5 K a week ago and have an invitational tomorrow!

Grandma and Grandpa Stewart came to town for Charlotte's blessing.  It was colder and windier than planned so Grandma has Charlotte bundled up in extra layers--Abby's jacket and a towel we brought for possibly wet bleachers!

Later that day we went to Eliza's soccer game.  She kicked the ball more this game than the entire season last year!  She's getting braver as we speak.

At her game we realized we were in the presence of Abby's pen pall from a different elementary school!  She's the daughter of a friend of mine.  It was fun to introduce them.

Monday night we took Grandma and Grandpa Stewart out to a Brewer's game!  We had great seats and a great time!

Charlotte thought the whole thing was a thrill.

At least she has her hands to entertain her.
