How to get your child to take a bath

We went through a difficult phase with Eliza about a month ago. Every time we stuck her in the bath she would crouch down and cover her front parts with one hand and reach around and cover her bum with the other. Along with this bizarre there's-no-way-I'm-sitting-down posture she would scream bloody murder. Oh WOW was bath time horrible!! She hated it, we hated it. UNTIL, we went to Peter and Michelle's and Peter threw the magic tablet into the bath. Yes, the fizzy tub colors have saved out lives! That night Eliza took her first happy bath in weeks. She actually sat down sans torturous screams. Once we returned home I quickly procured the fizzy tablets and bath time has taken on it's old happy meaning once again. Now Eliza goes to the linen closet at bath time and asks, "Can I put food coloring in the bath?"

I was like that about the tub when I was a kid because I would get UTI's and kidney infections. Fuzzy stuff in the bath made it worse!

Does the color stain your tub?

I'm glad you found something that works for you!

It's amazing what things they all of a sudden don't like anymore. Ashley is on an anti-prayer kick right now. Eh?! Oh well...kids will be kids. Very cool color tablet things.

Nope, doesn't stain a "well-maintained" tub (quote from the label).

Got 'em at Wal-Mart in the "bath fun" section up by other big-people bath stuff (cosmetics area). Not by baby toys or baby bath stuff. You can tell I had a little trouble finding it. :)

Oh yes, I have a testimony of this stuff - isn't it fun? And it never stained my tub or towels...
